Popular Camping Spots in Florida for RV Rental Delivery

by | Jul 8, 2026 | Camping, Florida RV Camping, Places, Road Trips for RVs

Orlando isn’t just theme parks and traffic on I-4 — within a couple hours in any direction you’ll find spring-fed swimming holes, lakeside RV resorts, dark-sky prairies, and Gulf-adjacent campgrounds. The catch is that towing or driving an RV through Central Florida traffic isn’t every traveler’s idea of a vacation.

That’s where Escape RV Rental comes in. Instead of picking up a rig and navigating it out of Orlando yourself, we deliver and set up your RV directly at the campsite for a small fee. You show up, your RV is already leveled, hooked up, and ready to go — no towing, no backing into a site, no stress.

Below is a roundup of some of the most popular campgrounds within roughly 100 miles of Orlando, organized by distance, so you can start planning your next trip. You can also browse all of our preferred delivery destinations directly on our site.

Why Delivery & Setup Makes Sense in Florida

Many of the best campgrounds near Orlando are 45–90 minutes away on highways that get crowded fast, especially around theme park traffic and I-4 construction zones. Renting an RV that’s delivered straight to your site means:

  • No driving a rental RV through unfamiliar Florida traffic
  • No backing into tight RV resort sites or navigating low tree canopies
  • Your rig is leveled, hooked to power/water, and ready when you arrive
  • More time at the spring, lake, or beach — less time on logistics

Escape RV Rental offers delivery and setup to campgrounds throughout the Orlando area for a small flat fee, making it easy to book a site at any of the spots below and have your RV waiting on arrival.

Close to Orlando (Under 30 Miles)

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground — Lake Buena Vista, FL (~15 miles)

Want to camp inside Walt Disney World itself? Fort Wilderness is the gold standard for theme-park-adjacent RV camping, with internal bus and boat transportation to the parks. Escape RV Rental is a preferred vendor here, so delivery and setup is something we do constantly — see our Fort Wilderness destination page for details on what’s included.

Wekiwa Springs State Park — Apopka, FL (~20 miles)

A 7,000-acre park built around a first-magnitude spring that stays a crisp 72°F year-round. The campground has 60 wooded RV sites with water and electric hookups, and rigs up to 50 feet are accommodated. Great for paddling, hiking, and wildlife viewing without leaving the metro area. floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/wekiwa-springs-state-park

Moss Park — Orlando, FL (~25 miles)

A large county park with RV and tent sites, picnic pavilions, and fire pits, set among shaded oak canopies on Lake Mary Jane. A solid pick for a quick weekend escape that’s still close to the city. ocfl.net/moss-park

Lake Whippoorwill / Orlando SE KOA — Orlando, FL (~15 miles)

Overlooking a 355-acre lake, this KOA is one of the closest full-hookup options to Orlando International Airport and the theme park corridor — convenient if you’re flying in and having your RV delivered for a short stay.koa.com/campgrounds/orlando-se

30–60 Miles Out

Blue Spring State Park — Orange City, FL (~35 miles)

Famous as a winter manatee refuge on the St. Johns River, Blue Spring also has a developed RV campground with water and electric hookups. Visit outside manatee season (mid-November through March) for swimming and paddling in the spring run. floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/blue-spring-state-park

Lake Louisa State Park — Clermont, FL (~30 miles)

Part of the Clermont chain of lakes, this park offers RV camping with full hookups alongside hiking and mountain biking trails and several lakes for kayaking. It’s quieter than the parks closer to the parks, with rolling hills uncommon for Florida. floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/lake-louisa-state-park

Lake Kissimmee State Park — Lake Wales, FL (~55 miles)

A working 1876 cow camp reenactment plus RV camping on the shores of Lake Kissimmee. Good fishing, birdwatching, and a slower pace than the parks nearer to Disney. floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/lake-kissimmee-state-park

River Ranch — River Ranch, FL (~55 miles, about an hour south of Orlando)

A favorite for travelers who want more than just a campsite — River Ranch offers fishing, horseback riding, kayaking, mini-golf, and the famous Saturday night rodeo. It’s one of our most popular delivery destinations; check out our River Ranch destination page for more on what we deliver there.

Camp Margaritaville RV Resort — Auburndale, FL (~45 miles)

A resort-style park near I-4 with 183 RV sites, a pool complex with a water slide, a tiki bar, and a 9-hole putting course. About 30 minutes from LEGOLAND and under 40 minutes from Walt Disney World — a fun home base if you want resort amenities alongside theme park access. This is one of our regular delivery destinations; see our Camp Margaritaville destination page for more.

Silver Springs State Park — Ocala, FL (~75 miles, just over our window but worth the drive)

Home to one of Florida’s largest springs, with glass-bottom boat tours, hiking, and a full RV campground. A favorite for travelers wanting a true “old Florida” springs experience. floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/silver-springs-state-park

60–100 Miles Out

Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park — Okeechobee, FL (~90 miles)

Florida’s first certified Dark Sky Park, set on the state’s largest remaining dry prairie. RV camping here is for travelers who want genuine solitude, birdwatching (including the endangered grasshopper sparrow), and some of the best stargazing in the Southeast. floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/kissimmee-prairie-preserve-state-park

Highlands Hammock State Park — Sebring, FL (~90 miles)

One of Florida’s oldest state parks, with old-growth cypress swamp, a CCC museum, and a developed RV campground. A nice change of scenery from the lakes and springs closer to Orlando. floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/highlands-hammock-state-park

Canaveral National Seashore Area / Titusville — Titusville, FL (~60 miles)

Not a campground itself, but the gateway to beach and Space Coast camping, including Indian River RV Park and nearby private resorts. A good pick if you want surf, sand, and a view of rocket launches in the same trip.

St. Augustine Beach KOA Holiday — St. Augustine, FL (~95 miles)

At the outer edge of the 100-mile range, this coastal KOA puts you minutes from St. Augustine’s historic downtown and its beaches — a longer haul, but a popular weekend trip for Orlando-area renters who want the ocean.koa.com/campgrounds/st-augustine-beach

Daytona International Speedway — Daytona Beach, FL (~70 miles)

Not a traditional campground, but a Florida camping tradition all its own. Whether you’re a race team needing comfortable downtime or a fan camping trackside for the weekend, we deliver, set up, and pick up RVs for race events. See our Daytona Speedway destination page for details.

RV Delivery for Events, Too

Camping isn’t the only reason to have an RV delivered. Florida hosts races, festivals, concerts, weddings, and conferences year-round, and we can deliver an RV to a parking lot, event lot, or venue anywhere it’s needed. Visit our special event deliveries page to see how it works.

How Booking With Escape RV Rental Works

  1. Pick your campground from the list above (or any site within our delivery radius) and reserve your spot directly with the campground.
  2. Book your RV from our rental fleet and choose delivery and setup instead of self-pickup.
  3. We deliver, level, and connect your RV to water, electric, and sewer (where available) before you arrive.
  4. You show up and start camping — no towing, no backing into a site, no setup time eaten out of your trip.
  5. We handle pickup and breakdown at the end of your stay, too.

Delivery and setup is available for a small fee on top of your rental, and pricing depends on distance from Orlando and the campground’s site requirements. Check our FAQs for more on how delivery fees and rental terms work.

Ready to Book?

Whether you’re heading to a spring-fed state park twenty minutes away or a dark-sky prairie ninety miles out, Escape RV Rental can get a fully set-up RV waiting for you at the site.
